On this month's check-in from the Neosonic Productions studio (Champloo), K-Murdock plays some exclusive new tracks featuring Random aka Mega Ran and details the latest happenings with Panacea for the duration of 2k12!

The unoffical music site for popular video game company and Final Fantasy publisher Square Enix, Square Enix Music Online, just posted an in-depth review of K-Murdock's recently released solo project Hero Muzik Vol. 1; Check it out HERE!

Hero Muzik Vol. 1 has been a best seller on Bandcamp where it's being sold exclusively as a digital download & on CD.

Right in time for the release of FFXIII-2, which is the latest editon to Square Enix's Final Fantasy franchise, comes K-Murdock's re-imagined remixes of famed game composer Nobuo Uematu's character themes from part 6 via Hero Muzik Vol. 1.

The digital version of the album features remixes of the main 12 heroes of FF6, while the CD verison features the following Yoshitaka Amano-inspired art design by Chris Flocco, PLUS 3 exclusive bonus tracks including remixes of the game's hidden characters (GoGo & Umaro) and a vocal track featuring Mega Ran over the villainous Kefka's theme!

Poster packages featuring the CD's art as well as volume 1-themed tee shirts will be available mid February too! Also, make sure you check out K's production blog for more insight on the project's creation.

K-Murdock sat in as special guest host/featured artist on this week's episode of the "Nerdcore Meow"  podcast.  K spoke on his latest project Hero Muzik, the history of Panacea and speaks in-depth about his feelings regarding the term "nerdcore".  Listen & download HERE!

The first volume of K-Murdock's new instrumental series Hero Muzik will be released on 1/31- the same day as the release of Final Fantasy XIII-2. As you can see by the artwork, which was done by Chris Flocco, the theme for the album will be based off K's favorite game in Square Enix's classic RPG franchise- Final Fantasy 6; Specifically, K remixes all 14 of the heroes of the game's themes into Neosonic Productions.

Pre-Orders will start next week on 1/24! This album will be exclusively sold on our bandcamp page as a digital download and on CD. Stay tuned to K's production blog for more details.

Though 2011 was a quieter year for K-Murdock prodcution-wise, it's all about quality over quantity in the eyes of some of the forum members of Nerdcorenow.com as K's name has been mentioned (a few times) for the superlative of "Producer Of The Year" within the nerdcore community! K is humbled just to be mentioned in the category and also happy to see his touring partner Mega Ran nominated in a couple categories as well. Check out The Ghostface Beat Tape Project which features some very prominent as well as up & coming producers (including K-Murdock) who all created beats inspired by legendary Wu-tang Clan emcee Ghostface Killah.  This free release was conceptualized by DC-based videographer Anthony "Gadget" Mims for Digital Hustle Films as part of his ongoing series "Behind The Beats TV".
